I can already theorize on the moral qualities of other harbingers: 1. Seeing Capitano might seem like he would be high on the moral spectrum, but by posessing so much power, he can simply put pressure on everyone, and manipulate them with fear, because you wouldn't want to cross his road. That is also why he is loved, but only by those who never had any trouble with him, which is the majority anyway. 3. I feel like Columbina wants to do only good, but has no understanding of that, and doesn't realize when she does evil. She will be the most disconnected from reality character. 5. Pulchinella will be the actual kindest of harbingers, all he does is simply his work in governing the city, and making life of citizens better. He appears in the Travail trailer for the same reason. But to the general public, he only shows his most strict side. 7. Sandrone is the hardest one to pinpoint, but i feel like she simply puts lives of people below the mechanical creations. And therefore she will do any evil for the sake of the latter. 9. Pantalone only cares about money, he might be corrupt, and i suspect he is the most hated harbinger by the people of Snezhnaya, but if only they know the truth. He is the opposite of Pulchinella.

Dottore's motivation is purely his pursuit of knowledge. As someone from Sumeru, he believes that wisdom is the most important thing. But unlike those folks in Akademiya, he does not restrict himself from any unethical sciences. His ultimate reasoning for any atrocity would be "i wanted to see what happens". He is genuinely so blinded by his ideal, that the only thing he might see as evil, is doing something that doesn't bring any new discovery.

Well, what I am possibly thinking is if Doctorre will even get to be playable seeing in my POV of the only way it could happen. He could intentionally try making more of his segments or whatever you call them after Nahida made him destroy them all as I dont see any implications of Doctorre being unable to make more now. As maybe Doctorre will be in a rush to finish his segment as maybe the traveler and other goons gather up to bring him down causing the segment to have several issues and become a failed experiment much like Scara. And as of such an experiment, this different or new Doctorre will not be as pure evil as one may think of. However, this is all speculation and will probably never happen as I personally think Doctorre will be killed by Scara or be taken down in a different way. I doubt he will ever be a character but its just a "what if" type of thought.

I will say this: as a male player I am sick and tired of boss babes bossing around and making everything about their fEeLiNgS and constantly showing off how competent they are and good at everything. I understand that the writers team consists primarily of female writers and they just don't care about what men like in women, but jeez, when they realize that such traits as "strong", "sassy", "confident" and "edgy" are the traits that WOMEN find attractive in men, not the other way around? 😩 I call it KSS - "Kuki Shinobu Syndrome" as the apogee of repulsive female character. So, no, they aren't waifus, they look pretty, but men stop prioritize looks and start focus more on supportive qualities over time. When a woman shows me how competitive she is, I instantly think "Ok, I'm not needed here, goodbye" even if initially I found her attractive.

I think arlecchino never rlly had a choice about joining the Fatui because she was from the house of the hearth and killed Krusebena who was in the fatui so she just joined after. Idk though

I really like Dottore. He's such an interesting character and finally a REAL villain. I'm really excited to see more of his lore in the future :D !!!

I love Furina too. I just noticed she did not felt any anger towards Focelor after she used her as a fraud for hundreds of years unlike the Baladeer that turned in a flawed creation. She could have turned vengeful after what she endured but glad she ended up to be a good creation. Hopefully, there will be no more puppets, resurrections and humans disguised as Gods in the last 2. Hated whan Rex Lapis turned into a dead lizard in his revelation what back in Liyue. Hahaha

You forget the part where Arlechino decide to help Fontain and save a lot of people (and establish close diplomatic relationship with Fontain ) as her way to get the gnosis. She could easily take any other approach but instead she decide to spend a lot of resources (and Tsariza was completely OK with this) in order to reach her goal. . Yeah, there were this attack on Furina, but this was a way to proof her suspicions and not actually assassinate Furina

I think Arlecchino's reasons for working for The Tsaritsa are just that...she doesn't really have a choice in the matter. Like, there's a decent enough chance that were she not imprisoned right after, she would've bolted right after killing Crucabena and started living her own life, especially given how inheriting her position was exactly what Crucabena wanted from Arlecchino, and she...likely didn't want for herself. I see her getting recruited as a harbinger as more of a punishment or debt to pay if anything. Like, "you killed Crucabena so now you have to bear the burden of her position", something which is basically said by Pierro when he says "This title and its legacy of bloodshed are now yours to bear." I think the only reason she hasn't left at this point is because she has a ton of kids to take care of, and betraying The Tsaritsa could endanger both them and herself. But even then, she seems pretty willing to betray The Fatui if push comes to shove and Pulcinella and Pantalone try anything sketchy when Project Stuzha roles around, and based on the ending of her story quest...I feel like that betrayal is more of an inevitability than anything else at this point. There could definitely be more to the matter later on, especially if it involeves her bloodline, but uh...yeah, that's just my take on it for the time being :).

Dottore is Genshin's Mr Sinister.

They are all evil and I just can't see past that. They can have reasons and personal unfair lives lacking justice but that is still sorta pointless because nothing excuse them for doing what they are doing in my eyes. My life is tough and unfair and yet I still don't submit myself to evil, immoral or injust things. I can't relate enough to villains is why I couldn't care less about how developed or gray/evil they are. Some are charming some are blunt, but effect on the world is same in the end. Killing innocents, destroying their lives whenever they are in the way of villain's goal. We need villains for story of course but making them likable to make them "more interesting"...is not my cup of tea.

We actually know quite a bit about Dottore from the flashbacks in Scara's story and the notes in Sumeru He was ostracized and called a monster by everyone so he became a monster, doing his best to abandon his humanity, In essence the opposite of Wanderer's journey

Speaking of Childe I seen a theory that he is the vessel for the third descender, which is the reason why Natlan has the “ode of resurrection”. Last gnosis… most likely will be seeing Mr world wide. I like it but we’ll see!

I like that we characters who do kind of terrible things, but are not full on terrible people.

In regards to playable Harbingers, I actually think its better if certain Harbingers don't become playable. Namely, Dottore, Pierro, Pulcinella (Rooster) and Pantalone. Dottore is someone that I hope we get to fight, as he is probably *the* most evil person in Teyvat. I wouldn't count out Signora just yet though, I think theres a very real possibility of her having a sort of phoenix rebirth.

The only way I see Dottore becoming playable is If a segment survived, a segment that unlike the Dottore we have met It´s not evil or as evil ad this one, basically a segment that survived the erasure and now wants to have revenge on the one that nearly kill him, and maybe he join us to help us take him down

Because there are multiple clones of Dottore, I think the playable version of him will be a good Dottore. Since you know, each clone has a different personality and we’ve seen the most evil clone. That means there should be a good clone

The people of Tataratsuma describe Scaramouche very well. He is indeed a blank slate. The Baladeer is the blank slate drawn on by Dottore and Ei. The Wanderer is same slate drawn on by Nahida.

I think Signora will be resurrected in the future. As of right now Hoyo have’t figured out a good way to develops Signora so they just put her away for now. We will definitely revisit her in the future in a setting that’s hopefully more befitting and allows her potential to shine. The thing with Signora is that she’s less of a combatant and more of a negotiator even with both a delusion and a vision.

Another note on signora, arlecchino describes how she used to get the kids to pretend to like her so she would give them gifts “Those who disliked shall receive none” and also calls her lonely. I really do feel sad that things turned out that way for her

With Arlecchino and how they basically made the years worth of lore about her irrelevant and even gave her that ass pull at the end of her quest where she could conveniently wipe the children’s memories instead of having to kill them, it all reminds me of how Lestat from Ann Rice’s vampire books was retconned to have only feed on people who were immoral bastards in some fashion, in “Queen of The Damned”, at least if I’m remembering right.

Something I would always like about Childe is how....Despite everything, he is still a kid at heart, heck, the game even said so ("Childlike exterior", "pretty boy"), and even is the youngest of the Harbinger, although, this childish side is kinda...Corrupted, in a way. There was this long analysis by someone who is VERY good at analysis, but sadly don't post anymore, about him. And they talked about it Basically. His Foul Legacy in the Golden House can be interpreted almost as a temper tantrum, and he needed to think a bit before realising that the Traveler had no chance (Btw, some translation of the game implies that the Foul Legacy prevent him from thinking coherently, which may add to this) He also has yet to fully mature, because at the end, he doesn't want to share his boat with Signora. And that his battle thirsting is like a child craving for something Heck, it even stand today, because in the Archon Quest, despite him pretty much about to loose counsciouness, instead of like, going to the side to rest, he is being very petty and give that thumb down to Neuvillette (which is confirmed to be him being petty, look at the stickers) And in Arlecchino story quest, not only he just, run away, instead of resting, but he immediatly want to spar. Also, Arlecchino voiceline about him tell a lot too

I agree. Hopefully Wanderer will get some sort of contact with his mother Ei by the end of the story. Then Wanderer also needs to get a fight to the finish with El Docttore! (Colli should be included in revenge on El Docttore as well) just to finalize his arc. Maybe he will show up in Natlan.

Ngl, the problem with Furina story quest is how at the end, it implied that going foward Furina will not be involved with the Divine(TM) or the main conflict and that position will be taken by Neuvillette instead. What I mean is, in the other Archons story quest, their first act is always about them being involved with mortal stuff (Venti & Zhongli treasure hunting, Ei touring Inazuma, etc) but it ends with them reminding the player once again their position and importance as an Archon. It kept players at the edge of their seat because it remind us, that even tho we literally just have an adventure/date with this person, at the end of the day, there is still MUCH more we didn't know about them, and about Archons. With Furina however, at the end the spotlight is directed at Furina, but the importance is not. In fact, it was taken by the act of her receiving a Vision, something that _Neuvillette_ gave her. The one that showed their power at the end is not Furina, but instead the hidden dragon who was supposed to be her right hand man. And with that, it marks how Furina has left the stage, and now Neuvillette is at the center.

I alredy disliked him and after this brief analysis of scara vs all other fatui before him I am surprised he is more morally corrupt than signora. Nahida is excesively good to even give him a chance and I am kinda surprised the traveler showed any mercy for him.

I get confused sometimes about the topic of Scaramouche in the fatui, because some people say that he is there because he was bored, but he says that the Jester wanted something from Scara and that's why he was in the fatui? And thinking about it, the Jester is the only one who after the Sumeru missions, still remembers him, isn't it?

Among the Harbinger appeareances in the game so far, only Dottore is pure evil. His intention of world discovery will never justify his evil actions. Deserves lifetime torture as the death penalty is too merciful. Signora - broken woman that ended up being an annoying evil dumb b*itch and her death was really satisfying 😂 Childe - purely moral problems for selfish reasons, passive evil... and I don't like him. Scaramouche - lost meaning in life and then went down to the path of evil... actively do evil, though he later became nihilistic. I hate him. Arlecchino - not evil but really good at acting evil to confuse people. Never killed innocent people, didn't force the children to become soldiers. For Furina's attempted murder, she didn't killed her and the Archon herself is not really "innocent" for making trials as entertainment shows. She didn't went blind rampage when her friend died and in fact, she assessed the situation and did many good things. So far, for me, your assessment is good except on Arlecchino... maybe she's a bit complicated? Or we have different ideas of morality? Maybe I'm just a simp. :v

Archelino is a bit inconsistent as a character.. After meeting countless fatui Snezhevich in the desert, the chasm treated like disposable object. And let's not forget how these children become "orphans" but she's good and the orphanage is a big family lol..

honestly, i always feel like "evil/not evil" rankings are too superficial to ever be useful outside of extremely black and white and 2-dimensional stories written for children. because "evil" to me implies causing willful harm for no apparent reason other than perhaps enjoyment or self-satisfaction. and so far, that's just not true for any antagonist within genshin. nobody is doing things just for the heck of it. every character has their reasons, and i think we're too early in the story to tell who is "in the right." i still think we're going to side with the fatui/tsaritsa eventually, or at least try to overthrow celestia. in that regard, is creating a god who can free everyone from the shackles of pretedermined fate truly "evil"? is destroying the false sky and escaping celestia's dominion an "evil" desire? i'm not so sure. now i personally love a villain, especially one with selfish ambitions, but i do think it's too soon to tell where dottore falls on that particular scale. i hope they don't redeem him because i want him to be my problematic wifey forever, but this is hoyoverse we're talking about. you know, the company who managed to redeem otto apocalypse? the guy who had done very similar things to dottore and even killed major playable characters? i say we let them cook. there must be a reason they teased dottore so early on, and i can't wait until they reveal everything they have in store for his arc.

I have a theory, because wanderer removed himself from irmensul, people would assume that everyone but the traveler forgot about him. But one neat detail to point out is that Ei's consciousness lives in another dimension outside Teyvat so it's possible that Ei still remembers wanderer as she isn't affected by time, corrosion, etc. Not to mention around the time the Sakura tree spawned out of nowhere when Ei came back from the cataclysm. She never remembered a tree being there in the first place soo it doubles up on the fact that there's still some hope for wanderer to get closure as she would still remember him.

i think having characters be on good terms with the traveler before becoming playable is one of Genshin's biggest flaws in term of storytelling. because the writers basically shape and twist and retcon A LOT of stuff to do that. it has gotten to the point where i am praying that the rest of the harbingers never become playable. just see them reach their full potential as characters. i will get hate for this for sure. i know. but Arle as a character is the biggest disappointment i have in the game. they literally got all her lore and what we heard about her and what she was built up as, and shoved that shit unto some last minute woman we never heard about, and had Arle kill her just before she launched. all this to justify the house of the hearth shenanigans. like yeah you ain't fooling me with that "morally gray" nonsense genshin. Arle was retconed. let's not be naive.

I love the voiceline of Arlecchino about La Signora.

I should also point out that every archon since Zhongli has received a 2nd part. I think we will at long last receive a resolution and reflection in Furina II.

If Dottore doesn't become playable I will cry! I honestly love his design ans the troupe of "the mad doctor".... Plus in a world full of colorfull and morally good characters Dotorre stands out beign the polar oposite off that. I can't wait till Sneznaya comes so I can more off his lore.

How evil Arlecchino's current actions depends on how you view Teyvat. Is there place for orphans. We know some of them are in max security prison just because. Arlecchino was raised to believe survival of the fittest mentality, so in her mind rising children with skills less than savory in our world might be only way for them to survive in Teyvat. I think Arlecchino has best intentions for people of House in a world that doesn't have ways to protect people less fortunate than others. Arlecchino's motivation might just be to keep people of the house alive, if so she would be morally good character in Teyvat. If she had other motivations for the house she would be evil.
